Thomas Family Story

Our family has been together since Vanya and Shane met back in December 1983. We got married in 1989 and had our first beautiful boy Brent in June 1993. James came along in April 1996 and Liam surprised us all when he arrived in December 1997. We have lived in Jane Brook since August 2000 and love it. Our lives changed in January 2007 when James was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor. We underwent surgery, then had 7 1/2 weeks of Radiation and 6 months of Chemotherapy. James has not had treatment for all of 2008. We have MRI scans every three months to check and make sure everything is ok. Unfortunately in the October scan has showed that James' cancer has returned. With all the intense treatment James had last year, unfortunately there is not much that they can do. So we will fill our time together with fun, laughter, happiness and love.
We came to the hardest part in our family journey in February 2009. James' fight against Cancer came to an end on Tuesday the 10th. He fought a good fight. He will be with us always.
